Dr. Bokamoso Basutli, PhD

Chairperson

Professional Engineer and IEEE Senior Member. Head of Department of Electrical and Communications Systems Engineering at BIUST. Principal Investigator of the BotswanaSat-1 project. IEEE CertiAIEd Assessor for ethical implications of Autonomous Intelligent Systems. PhD in Electronics, Electrical, and Systems Engineering from Loughborough University, UK.

Mr. Moabi Pusumane

Vice Chairperson

Over 15 years of experience in telecommunications, project management, market intelligence, and commercial leadership. Currently Commercial Director at Coca-Cola Beverages Botswana. Achievements include 5-year CAGR double-digit revenue growth and the 2023 Africa Customer Excellence Award.

Ms. Montle Phuthego

Board Member

MSc in Economics from the University of Warwick. Over 20 years in economic research, business development, trade, and investment. Former founding Caretaker CEO at SPEDU and Deputy Managing Director at Botswana Development Corporation. Currently Country Director for TechnoServe.

Ms. Alta Dimpho Seleka

Board Member

Over 20 years in public financial management and fiscal governance. FCCA-UK, FCPA-BICA, CIPFA-UK, and AAT qualified. Acting Commissioner for Finance and Administration at BURS, managing multibillion-pula tax revenues.

Ms. Lebogang George

Board Member

Partner at AJA/MCL, attorney admitted to the Botswana High Courts. Specialist in commercial law, ICT law, IT governance, and data protection/privacy law, including the Botswana Data Protection Act, South Africa's POPIA, and the EU GDPR.

Mr. Ronald Kgafela, CODP

Board Member

Over 20 years in Human Resources, Organisational Development, and Employment Relations. MSc in Strategic Management from the University of Derby. Currently Head of Human Resources at NBFIRA.

Dr. Kennedy Ramojela

Board Member

PhD in Media and Communications from RMIT University. MPhil from the University of Southampton. Over 20 years across media, creatives, and technology. Currently Media and Communications lecturer at the University of Botswana.

Chief Executive (Ex-Officio)

Chief Executive of BOCRA, serving as an ex-officio member of the Board of Directors. Leads the day-to-day operations of the Authority and drives BOCRA's digital transformation strategy.

Provides administrative, HR, and ICT support services to the organisation.

Business Development

Drives strategic initiatives, market studies, and new regulatory frameworks.

Technical Services

Manages spectrum, type approval, numbering plans, and technical standards.

Corporate Communications

Handles public relations, stakeholder engagement, and media communications.
